Largely lost in the shuffle of free agency has been the rash of draft-pick signings. Given a rookie wage scale that has reduced significantly the sticking points of these contracts -- and an unprecedented sense of urgency -- the deals are getting done at a record pace.

The Chiefs have announced that former Pitt receiver Jonathan Baldwin, the team’s first round pick, has agreed to terms.

The move gives the Chiefs eight of their nine draft picks under contract. Still unsigned is third-round linebacker Justin Houston.
