The Falcons were able to retain tackle Tyson Clabo at relatively low price. They brought defensive end Ray Edwards under contract on Friday.

With so much money spent elsewhere, it was only a matter of time before one of their available starting guards left town. Harvey Dahl agreed to terms with the St. Louis Rams, according to Bernie Miklasz of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Dahl will bring added toughness to an improved Rams offensive line at right guard. It’s the second quality meat and potatoes pickup by the Rams after bringing in former Eagles safety Quintin Mikell.

Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch says the spending may not be done yet. The Rams have made an offer to free agent defensive tackle Brandon Mebane, but they are considered underdogs to get him.
