The Miami Dolphins have signed free agent offensive tackle Marc Colombo, who was cut by the Dallas Cowboys last week.

The 32-year-old Colombo started 15 games for the Cowboys last season but was made expendable when Dallas drafted offensive tackle Tyron Smith this year.

In Miami, Colombo could challenge incumbent starter Vernon Carey at right tackle. Colombo also gives the Dolphins more depth on the offensive line with starting left tackle Jake Long currently relegated to the physically unable to perform list.
