The Browns thought enough of punter Reggie Hodges last year that they signed him to an extension through 2012.

Now they are stuck looking for a punter once again because of an injury Hodges suffered Tuesday at training camp. Tony Grossi of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer reports Hodges will miss the 2011 season after tearing his Achilles tendon in practice.

It’s a significant loss for Cleveland’s special teams. Hodges was in the top ten last year in net punting average.
