Braylon Edwards hasn’t had many suitors in free agency, but there’s at least one NFL locker room where he’s wanted.
Arizona Cardinals kicker Jay Feely, who played with Edwards with the Jets and who played at Michigan before Edwards was there, says he has reached out to Edwards. Feely told “Burns and Gambo” on Sports 620 KTAR in Phoenix that Cardinals safety Kerry Rhodes and receiver Larry Fitzgerald have told Edwards they want him, too.
“We’re trying to convince him that he should come here, but it’s a matter of whether the finances work and what money someone else is going to offer him,” Feely said.
At this point, if the Cardinals are offering Edwards anything more than the league-minimum salary, those finances might work for him. Arizona appears to be just about the only place where Edwards is wanted.
