Ty Warren will undergo surgery

After a few days of discussing options, the Broncos will take the expected course of action with defensive lineman Ty Warren.

The expensive free agent pickup will undergo surgery on his torn triceps and miss 3-6 months.  There was some hope Warren could rehab the injury without surgery.

The Broncos are holding out hope Warren could return in mid-November, but that seems like a longshot. They will probably need his roster spot eventually with no guarantee he will actually be able to help them this season.

Warren also missed last season with a hip surgery.  Fellow starting defensive tackle Marcus Thomas is also hurt and could miss a few weeks to start the regular season.  Kevin Vickerson and Brodrick Bunkley look like the starting defensive tackles now.

  1. I wouldn’t be surprised if Ty retires. He just completed his degree so obviously he plans to use it. Has a nice ranch in Texas. Last year hip surgery, this torn triceps ?

  2. Since Ty Warren will have not played in over two years due to injury and will be 32 next year maybe Denver should just cut him and save.

  3. You have referred to Marcus Thomas on multiple occasions as the other starting DT, yet I haven’t seen a single depth chart which shows him as a starter … You have some kind of inside pipeline to John Fox’s mind???

  4. bozosforall spent all last season trolling as koamisifan.

And we all know how that turned out, he slithers his way on any Pats/Jets post with stupid comments

Get over it man… stop spending your time clicking on every single Broncos headline and just say the same comment over and over again.
“yet another sign that God is testing Tim Tebow…”

Seriously man, grow up… get a life and stop trying to sounds cool by bashing Tim Tebow because of his religious beliefs. I’m sorry that you get some sort of excitement out of doing that.

  6. bozo doesn’t seem to realize that the majority of Patriots fans don’t hate Warren at all, even though he is now on the roster of a rival.

I’ve seen nothing but expressions of lament from Patriots fans about his bad luck – though his recent rash of injuries was one reason he was cut.

Seymour of course wasn’t cut – he was traded for a first rounder – there’s no “hate” towards Seymour either and there’s nothing wrong with a trade that works out for both sides.

The Patriots now have 19 DTs fighting for just a few spots – they’ll keep the best, trade or cut the rest.

If a team has a need at DT they should be on the phone working a trade rather than fighting with all the other teams over the Patriots’ cuts.

  7. Bunkley COULDN’T play for the Eagles, WOULDN’T play for the Browns and SHOULDN’T play for the Broncos.

  8. broncofanatic7 why so riled up? its not that serious. relax bud. its not my fault the broncos are complete trash. raiders will stomp them again on monday sep 12

  9. @deepseabreeze
I’m not riled up man, but it just get’s old and I’ve seen you come on here before and say the same thing. Criticize Tim for his play all you want, but the religion thing has just been overplayed.

Lol really the Raiders are going to stomp us? Who’s gonna be playing corner for you guys?
    Rookie Van Dyke?
We are gonna work the Raider on September 12th.

  10. And so it continues…

The Broncos move a step closer to the #1 overall draft pick in 2012.

The big question now is do the Broncos stick with Tim Tebow or draft Andrew Luck #1 overall?

That Josh McDaniels hangover just won’t go away will it?

  11. Broncos are the bottom dwellers of the division, that won’t change in the next 5 years.Bwah haha. They have a decent QB who they dissed, and a backup who is the Son of Satan.Bwah haha. And they will deal with the wreckage left behind by McDaniels, hee hee hee.And Shanarat and spawn continue to embarass themselves.Hahahahahaha.This is just too good,I mean, this is just hilarious. Can’t wait for the opener, when the Raiders put the hurt on Denver one more time…
