After a few days of discussing options, the Broncos will take the expected course of action with defensive lineman Ty Warren.

The expensive free agent pickup will undergo surgery on his torn triceps and miss 3-6 months. There was some hope Warren could rehab the injury without surgery.

The Broncos are holding out hope Warren could return in mid-November, but that seems like a longshot. They will probably need his roster spot eventually with no guarantee he will actually be able to help them this season.

Warren also missed last season with a hip surgery. Fellow starting defensive tackle Marcus Thomas is also hurt and could miss a few weeks to start the regular season. Kevin Vickerson and Brodrick Bunkley look like the starting defensive tackles now.
