Ed Wang joined the NFL last year hoping to make the sport more popular in China. If that’s going to happen, he will need a second chance outside of Buffalo.
The Bills cut Wang as they reduced their roster to 53 on Saturday.
They also cut defensive back Jon Corto, wide receiver Felton Huggins, linebacker Jammie Kirlew, C Geoff Hangartner, LB Brandon Hicks, DE T.J. Langley, DE Lionel Dotson, CB Doyle Miller, WR Naaman Roosevelt, G Michael Switzer, OT Jason Watkins, G Mansfield Wrotto, C Danny Aiken, WR Kamar Aiken, WR Craig Davis, QB Levi Brown, RB Jehuu Caulcrick, TE Mike Caussin, CB Reggie Corner and S Sidney Glover.
Davis is a former first round pick of the Chargers. Hangartner started 22 games over the last two years. Roosevelt got caught in the roster crunch at receiver.
Cornerback Terrence McGee made the team, despite a report on Friday that said he would be cut. (It sounded fishy to us, so we never mentioned the report.)
The Bills placed Bruce Hall on injured reserved.
Two undrafted free agents made the team.
