Receiver Mardy Gilyard, regarded in 2010 as a promising prospect who slid in the draft, will be realizing any potential he has in a city other than St. Louis.

Howard Balzer of 101sports.com and The Sports Xchange points out that Gilyard has disclosed via his Twitter page that he has been waived.

“Jus got released isshhh is getting real na ugh!!!!” Gilyard said via Twitter.

Per Balzer, agent Brian Ayrault has tweeted that two of his clients -- offensive lineman Renardo Foster and linebacker Zac Diles -- also have been released by the Rams.

Once made official by the Rams, the moves will create (per Balzer) $2.07 million in cap space.
