Arian Foster misses practice again

Indianapolis Colts v Houston Texans

Your daily Arian Foster update is similar to the update from the last two days.

Foster didn’t practice on Friday, but Texans coach Gary Kubiak swears that Foster got great work done on the side of practice.

“Arian did not practice today but worked extremely hard in his rehab. He took a big step forward . . . it will be a game-time decision.”

We’re skeptical. Foster hasn’t practiced since hurting his hamstring weeks ago. It just doesn’t make sense to rush him back without any practice even if he looks good during a Saturday warmup.

Kubiak announced Derrick Ward would start in Foster’s place, with Ben Tate playing behind Ward. The Texans ran the ball 40 times in a Week One win over the Colts last year and we wouldn’t be surprised to see a similar number this year, whether Foster plays or not.
