Bengals receiver Jerome Simpson and Bengals offensive lineman Anthony Collins were detained Tuesday after 2.5 pounds of marijuana arrived at Simpson’s home.

According to Janice Morse and Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer, both players were present when Aleen Smith, 27, accepted the package.

Per the report, another six pounds of marijuana were found in Simpson’s home, along with “packaging materials, scales and smoking devices.”

Authorities reportedly suspect that Simpson’s house was set up as a “potential distribution network,” and that marijuana was indeed being distributed from the residence.

Neither player has been arrested, yet. Both participated in practice on Wednesday. Per the Enquirer, Bengals spokesman Jack Brennan said the team was aware of the reports, but Brennan offered no other comments.
