Eagles’ Jason Babin rips NFL for fining him

Eagles defensive end Jason Babin was fined this week for a hit on 49ers quarterback Alex Smith. He’s not happy about it.

Babin took to Twitter today to rip the league office, saying it should be on offensive linemen to protect their quarterbacks, not the league office.

“Attn:Guy at the NFL that decides on who and how much players get fined,” Babin wrote. “Stop being a puppet, if you want to protect QB’s, get better linemen.”

Babin, who leads the league with seven sacks, stands in contrast to Eagles quarterback Michael Vick, who complained that he’s not getting the calls other quarterbacks are getting. So Babin is in a bad mood because the NFL is going too far to protect quarterbacks, while Vick is in a bad mood because the NFL isn’t going far enough to protect quarterbacks.

Or maybe they’re both in a bad mood because the Eagles have lost three in a row.
