Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor was one of the last players to join the team before the passing of owner Al Davis. But even in Pryor’s short time with the organization, Pryor learned all about the owner’s passion for the game.

I talked to him a couple of times a week,” Pryor told 93.7 the Fan in Pittsburgh, via SportsRadioInterviews.com. “Once a week at least. It was just talking to a legend like that. Him just passing away . . . it sucked. I couldn’t believe it. I was in disbelief. I didn’t know the guy that long, but just from talking to him and how passionate he is it is amazing just talking to him on the phone. . . . You just get a buzz and butterflies in your stomach because he just talks about winning. He’s so passionate about the game and so passionate about Oakland. It amazed me and my heart goes out to his family and he was a great guy.”

Pryor, whose five-game suspension expired on Monday, can now officially join the team for practices and games. Pryor said that he won’t be inserted into any of the offensive packages as a receiver, but Pryor acknowledged that he could enter the game as a Wildcat option at quarterback.

With several Al Davis draft picks stepping up on Sunday against the Texans, it’d be fitting to see his last final draft pick get a chance to contribute on Sunday, when the Browns come to town.
