A post from earlier in the day mentioned that Chiefs cornerback Brandon Flowers was named the AFC defensive player of the week. The other two AFC names have since been unveiled.

Texans running back Arian Foster and Jags kicker Josh Scobee are the offensive player of the week and special-teams player of the week, respectively.

It’s the second time this year that Foster has won the award, and the third of his career. Scobee has won it seven times in his time in the NFL.

Foster beat out Jets receiver Plaxico Burress, who had three touchdown receptions, and Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow, who pulled off a late comeback that was even more impressive than a stroll across an unfrozen pond. The other finalists were Jets running back Shonn Greene, Jags running back Maurice Jones-Drew, and Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
