Terrance Knighton hates the Texans’ arrogance

When you think of AFC South rivalries, Texans-Jaguars isn’t the first one that comes to mind.

The two relatively recent expansion franchises have built up some animosity over time, though. At least defensive tackle Terrance “Pot Roast” Knighton thinks so, as we mentioned in one-liners earlier.

“I hate Houston; I hate the Texans,” Knighton said via Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union. “That’s probably the team I hate most in the league. I don’t know, they have an arrogance about them I just can’t stand. We watched the bad game last year I just got angry and I’m ready to go out there and get that bad taste out of my mouth.”

That “bad game” from last year was the season finale, when Arian Foster rolled up 180 rushing yards to help knock Jacksonville from playoff contention. The first game between the two teams last year was when Mike Thomas caught a Hail Mary to beat Houston.

“Every year they’re the team that’s supposed to overtake the Colts, or be this high-powered offense,” Knighton said. “This defense that’s supposed to just shut down everybody. I’m just tired of hearing about it.”

Perhaps Texans-Jaguars will be fun on Sunday after all. There aren’t many other good options during the early set of games.
