Eagles running back LeSean McCoy, Lions defensive end Cliff Avril and Rams defensive end Robert Quinn have been named the NFC players of the week.

McCoy was named offensive player of the week after he had 185 rushing yards and two touchdowns in the Eagles’ 34-7 win over the Cowboys, and added 15 receiving yards for an even 200 yards from scrimmage. McCoy also had 149 yards against the Cowboys last year and is only the fourth player to twice top 140 rushing yards against Dallas. The others are Jim Brown, Walter Payton and John Riggins. McCoy is the only player in the NFL who has scored a touchdown in every game this season.

Avril won the defensive player of the week award after the beating he put on Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow on Sunday. Avril had two sacks and two forced fumbles, and he picked up one of those fumbles and ran 24 yards for a touchdown.

Quinn won the special teams player of the week award after he blocked a punt to set up a touchdown as the Rams upset the Saints. Quinn, the Rams’ first-round draft pick this year, also sacked Drew Brees in the game.
