Teammate: Edelman has met with Robert Kraft

Early Tuesday, Patriots receiver Julian Edelman was arrested for indecent assault and battery (which as several of you have pointed out should never be confused with decent assault and battery).  On Wednesday, Pats running back Kevin Faulk told reporters that Edelman already has met with owner Robert Kraft regarding the situation.

That’s over with now,” Faulk said, via Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald.  “We’re focusing on the Giants right now.  It happened.  The worst thing that can happen, it happened.  Now it’s over.  Keep letting everybody else talk about it.  Don’t worry about it, you got a game to play on Sunday.”

Faulk said he doesn’t know whether Edelman, shown at his arraignment, will play on Sunday.

“That’s up to coach,” Faulk said.  “Y’all probably talked to coach, probably asked him the same questions.”

They did.  And as the video below demonstrates, Bill Belichick said a whole lot of nothing, via his perpetual full-body poker face.

  1. I’m beginning to see some chinks in their armor. This is what happens to teams who think they can bring any player onto their roster and reshape their careers. Well how’s that Ochostinko, and Haynesworhtless pick ups going for you. Edelman should be fined, and suspended. People just don’t change, and he is a scumbag.

  2. What about presumption of innocense? I bet cletusvandam would want the same if he was accused. Big money targets get accused of things everyday.

  3. For punishment, the judge is going to sentence him to a night of drinks and dancing with Haynesworth.

  4. I think everyone deserves to have their side told.

The problem is that often the accussed don’t tell a story at all or tell something so stupid sounding that no one would believe it.

    Yes, innocent until proven otherwise.

    Duke lacrosse
You mean like you Pats fans were advocating when Big Ben got accused in Georgia?

  6. The difference between Buffalo Ben and Julian…
Buffalo Ben had a girl locked in a bathroom with him and it was doused with bleach after. hmmm?

Edelman allegedly grabbed a girls ass on a crowded dance floor. How convenient the “eye witness” named the only known millionaire on the dance floor.

  7. sorry, he might not even be a millionaire but being a New England Patriot in Boston, they knew exactly who he was. Maybe he did it, maybe he didn’t. I don’t know but it sounds kinda shady to me.

Well, nothing like ignoring the entire case file and just making up your own lil story, is there? That’s not what happened, but why let all that evidence stand in the way of what you’ve cooked up in your tiny pea brain? FYI, no one doused the girl with bleach and there wasn’t a mark–or anything else–on her. And her story–which she changed umpteen times–was refuted by multiple witnesses. That innocent-until-proved-guilty thing … it goes for players and teams you don’t like, too. 🙄

  9. The NFL Network needs to run a special just on great press conferences. I love that Belichick won’t comment on internal team matters. And he’s not an NCAA coach. These are grown men–he can’t watch them every minute.

  10. Yes, test, unfortunately it is. There’s even a pic of him in costume on the local websites.

I have a sense of humor and can appreciate a GOOD joke about my team even from a fan of a team I hate. Let’s examine:

Finally, there’s a Patriot that likes women.

Not funny OR clever, said just for the sake of saying something at all. Step it up, dude!

I bet he has more Grabs than Ocho this year.
Now THAT is HILARIOUS…well done Jets fan…well done. 😀
