Be careful what you wish for, Cardinals fans.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Kevin Kolb is unlikely to play against the Rams Sunday because of his turf toe. Even if that makes him sound like a “weenie.”

That means that John Skelton is likely to get the start for the one-win Cardinals. Kolb won’t practice again Thursday.

Arizona fans have been clamoring for Skelton to get a chance because Kolb has struggled. We suspect the team’s quarterback play is not going to improve with Skelton, although at least the matchup is favorable at home against St. Louis.
