Five years ago, Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo fumbled the snap on a potential game-winning field goal in a playoff game against the Seahawks. Thereafter, Romo hasn’t done much holding.
Today, with the Seahawks coming to town, Romo will be holding for field goals and extra points, again.
Charley Casserly of CBS pointed out that, with punter Mat McBriar injured, Romo will handle the holding duties. With the Seahawks not nearly the team they were in 2006, this one shouldn’t come down to a late field goal. If it does, however, Romo will provide yet another layer of drama.
