The Rams have activated Mark Clayton from the PUP list, as reported by Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and he’s expected be in the lineup when the team plays the Browns this weekend. Clayton has been out since injuring his knee in the fifth game of the 2010 season and he’s experienced some problems with his Achilles since returning to the practice field. He and Bradford seemed to click well in those games, 23 catches for 306 yards, so his return should make the second-year quarterback smile a little wider.

There’s real need for the help. The Rams lost rookie Greg Salas to a broken leg last weekend and Danny Amendola is on injured reserve. Brandon Gibson is fighting a quad injury, Danario Alexander has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury and Brandon Lloyd is still familiarizing himself with the team. Given those circumstances, you would expect Clayton to play as much as he’s physically capable against Cleveland.

Quarterback Tom Brandstater was cut to make room for Clayton on the roster.
