One of the stars of the 1985 Chicago Bears has had his Super Bowl XX ring stolen.

Willie Gault, who played wide receiver for the Bears from 1983 to 1987 and for the Raiders from 1988 to 1993, had his Super Bowl ring stolen from his home in a burglary, law enforcement sources told TMZ.

The Super Bowl ring was one piece in a jewelry haul worth more than $100,000 that was taken from Gault’s house.

Gault was the Bears’ first-round draft pick in 1983 and finished his career with 333 catches for 6,635 yards and 44 touchdowns. A track star who would have competed in the 1980 Olympics if the U.S. hadn’t boycotted, Gault recently set world records in the 50-54 age group in both the 100-meter dash (10.88 seconds) and 200-meter dash (22.44 seconds).
