The Broncos have taken their run-first approach to new extremes.
Despite injuries to Willis McGahee and Knowshon Moreno, the Broncos have run the ball 25 times and thrown the ball four times. Tim Tebow is 0-for-4.
And it’s worked perfectly.
Denver rushed for 169 yards while racking up a 10-0 halftime lead. The read option has worked at times, with Denver sprinkling in a triple option play with Eddie Royal involved.
Broncos defense has given up only 72 yards to the Chiefs offense, which looks just as anemic as it did last week against Miami. Tebow has underthrown a couple of deep balls or the lead would be even bigger.
It may not be pretty, but the Broncos is trying to get back in this AFC West.
