Chargers beef up offensive line with Tony Moll

With Chargers left guard Kris Dielman still missing after a concussion and with Chargers left tackle Marcus McNeill sustaining a neck injury on Thursday night against Oakland, the Chargers need some help on the offensive line.

They’ve added veteran Tony Moll to the mix. The team announced the move on Tuesday.

Moll, all six-foot-five and 315 pounds of him, appeared in 16 games, starting 10, as a rookie with the Packers in 2006. He joined the Ravens in 2009, appearing in 21 games with three starts in two seasons.

After a training-camp stint with the Jaguars, Moll has been looking for his next opportunity.

Moll has played right guard, right tackle, and tight end. Without McNeill, left tackle Brandyn Dombrowski gave up four sacks to Raiders linebacker Kamerion Wimbley.
