After starting 0-7, Dolphins talking about ending up 9-7

The Miami Dolphins are talking about the playoffs. Seriously.

After losing their first seven games, the Dolphins have now won two in a row, and some players in the Dolphins’ locker room think there’s still an opportunity for this team to be playing meaningful games in January.

We win ‘em all and we’re in playoff contention,” Dolphins defensive end Jared Odrick told the Palm Beach Post.

Dolphins linebacker Karlos Dansby noted that he was on the 2008 Cardinals, who went 9-7 in the regular season and ended up in the Super Bowl.

“We’ve got an opportunity to be great,” Dansby said. “I went to the Super Bowl at 9-7, so it can be done.”

The reality is that six of the Dolphins’ seven remaining games are against teams with winning records, and they’re more likely to lose them all and finish 2-14 than they are to win them all and finish 9-7. But the Dolphins are thinking big.
