Jason Babin is still mad at the Seahawks

Defensive end Jason Babin has become one of the few fully-functioning floats in the Dream Team parade. With 10 sacks in 11 games, Babin has made mincemeat of opposing offensive lines from his intimidating, low-to-the-ground stance.

Just before Babin signed with the Eagles, he joined PFT Live to discuss his options in free agency, pointing out that during his time in Seattle he barely played, due to a disconnect between former G.M. Tim Ruskell and former head coach Mike Holmgren. Now that the Eagles are planning to play the Seahawks, Babin acknowledges that he still holds a grudge.

“It’s not easy going to a new place and not being wanted and kind of treated badly and have your assistant coach not talk to you and your head coach you tell you, ‘Oh, I didn’t want you.’ So it’s tough,” Babin said, via PhillySportsDaily.com.

So what does he have in mind? “I’m just going to let them know that I didn’t forget,” Babin said.

On Twitter, Babin said he’s “[r]eady to show my distain [sic] for Seattle, they treated the Babin family bad.” Babin added the hashtags “BlameMikeH” and “SinsOfTheFather.”

The latter point reflects Babin’s realization that the only common thread in Seattle is the owner. Holmgren is long gone, as is Ruskell. So there’s no one left with whom to be upset.

But with a 4-7 record, motivation is hard to come by. So if it gets Babin’s motor running, that’s fine by us.
