During Thursday night’s game, Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson sat by himself on the bench, looked unhappy and at one point appeared to be refusing to speak to Vince Young when Young approached him on the sideline. Afterward Jackson was not pleased with reporters who asked him what was wrong.
“I’m not answering none of that type of question,” Jackson said, via NFL Network. “If you’re going to ask something about the game, do that. You’re asking questions that don’t even mean nothing. Next question.”
Jackson wouldn’t confirm or deny that he was refusing to talk to Young, although the images on the sideline made it pretty clear that he was.
“If that’s what they saw, that’s what they saw,” Jackson said. “I don’t have to sit here and answer them questions. My teammates know what it is.”
If Jackson is right that his teammates know the truth about him, he might be interested in knowing that one teammate was asked by the Philadelphia Inquirer whether Jackson’s head is in the game and answered, “No, he’s [messing] around.”
The only good news about Jackson right now is that he’ll only be [messing] around in Philadelphia for four more games until his contract expires.
