Seattle left tackle Russell Okung suffered an injury when he took a shot from Philadelphia defensive end Trent Cole on Thursday night that the Seahawks thought was a cheap shot.

The league office will determine whether it’s a costly shot for Cole, but it was definitely a costly shot for Okung.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Okung tore his pectoral muscle, a serious injury that will require six months of rehabilitation. Obviously, Okung is done for the season, and with a six-month time frame, Okung just has to hope rehab goes according to schedule so that he’s 100 percent when training camp starts next year.

Okung is the Seahawks’ third starting offensive lineman to be lost for the season, joining right tackle James Carpenter and right guard John Moffitt.

The sixth overall pick of last year’s NFL draft, Okung has started every game he’s played. But he missed six games last season and will now miss the final four games this season.
