Von Miller practices with cast, hopes to play

On Friday, Broncos linebacker Von Miller practiced with a cast on his hand following surgery to repair torn ligaments in his thumb.  But Miller didn’t play against the Vikings.

On Wednesday, Miller again practiced with a cast on his hand.  And he hopes to face the Bears on Sunday.

Miller participated on a limited basis, according to the league’s official injury report.  Among those who missed practice was running back Willis McGahee, who suffered a knee injury late in Sunday’s win.   A candidate for comeback player of the year with six 100-yard games this season, McGahee said he plans to play Sunday.

With a win over Chicago, the Broncos could open a one-game lead over the Raiders, given that Oakland faces a likely defeat against the Big Green Cheese Machine.

  1. no question the rookie of the year, on either side of the ball. We need him so everyone can get off there knees about tebow (literally). Bailey, Miller, and McGahee have been the real keys to our winning, even if the team does rally around tebow well..not having miller for this game would be a far bigger loss.

  2. “Green Cheese Machine”

Miller’s the machine in this story.
He’s a maniac, an absolute terror.

    Heal up Von,
we can’t wait to see that Brady/Von introduction.

  3. Broken thumb or not… the take-away from the above photo is that white girls love Von Miller.

@gjones33… Elvis Dumervil coming back healthy is a big component to this team’s success as well. His return to full speed happened the same time Tebow became the starter. That’s also the same time Von Miller’s numbers became more impressive since both guys are tough to double team. Unfortunately, Tebow fans don’t pay attention when their guy is off the field.
