Dolphins in talks with Carl Peterson

jUbQO.Em.56

On Monday, Dolphins owner Stephen Ross said he hasn’t had discussions with Carl Peterson about joining the organization.

Ross apparently has had those discussions since then.

Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports that the two men are talking about a position in the front office. Chris Mortensen of ESPN previously has reported that Peterson will take the job previously held by Bill Parcells -- V.P. of football operations.

In a Wednesday appearance on PFT Live, Armando Salguero of the Herald expressed a strong belief that Peterson will be hired by the team, despite the comments from Ross and Peterson’s denial. Armando also made a prediction regarding the next head coach of the team, which I told Armando we’ll hold him to only if he’s wrong.

This would be a far more effective tease if the image in the video box didn’t give it away.
