Osi out, Tuck game-time decision for Giants

Jason Pierre-Paul has become the best defensive end on the Giants this season, which is a good thing for them since it is unclear which other ones they’ll have playing for them on Sunday.

Osi Umenyiora has been ruled out for the third straight week with a sprained ankle and Justin Tuck is questionable with a toe injury that forced him to miss time in last Sunday’s win against the Cowboys. Tuck has been dealing with a variety of injuries this season, leaving him either on the sidelines or at a diminished level of productivity for a Giants defense that has been almost entirely reliant on Pierre-Paul for big plays.

Mike Garofalo of the Newark Star-Ledger reports that Tuck was wearing a t-shirt in the locker room that read “My Pain, Your Entertainment.” That could be a sign that Tuck is planning on answering the bell against the Redskins despite the injury or, as Garofalo suggests, it could just mean that Tuck enjoyed Russell Crowe’s performance as Maximus.

The Giants should be getting safety Kenny Phillips back after he missed last week with a sprained MCL, but center David Baas and tight end Travis Beckum have both been ruled out.

JPP is gonna be holding Grossman’s spine & skull in his hand like the Predator. Animale!

  2. Fewell better put Kiwi back at DE where he belongs, i have more faith in him right now than Tuck.

JPP is such a beast, i cannot wait to see this kid fulfill all of his potential, if he does people better watch out!

  3. Tuck has been hurt all year, the cage being a result of trying to protect his neck from further injury.

Baas has been a complete bust at center. Back to the drawing board for next year.

  4. All signs are pointing towards the Philadelphia Eagles gaining ground/closing the gap to having the NFC East title.

If all three teams (NYG, DAL, & PHI) end up 8-8, PHI will win the tie-breaker advantage because they are now 3-1 in their own division.

They must beat DAL and WAS to end up 8-8. NOTE: They play NYJ Sunday and their 0-8 lifetime. And DAL and NYG cannot seem to finish strong as they start during the season.

  5. Osi has been injury plagued/not worth a poot since he said it was laughable/laughed at the fact someone had the temerity to compare Mario Williams to him a couple of years ago. Football Karma. JPP BEASTMODE. Feel bad for Tuck

  6. Watch out Giant fans… filling in for Trent Williams and Jamaal Brown, we have Tyler Polumbus and Willie Smith at Right and Left tackle and they are……. quick learners.

Sorry, that was the best I could come up with.
