The New England Patriots’ top pass rusher has gone down today in Denver.

Andre Carter, who leads the Patriots with 10 sacks heading into today’s game against the Broncos, was carted off the field in the second quarter. It appeared to be an injury to Carter’s left knee.

The Patriots’ defense has struggled all season, and those struggles have continued in the early going today in Denver, where Tim Tebow decided not to wait until the fourth quarter to turn on Tebowmania. Without Carter, things could get even worse for New England defensively.

The Broncos lead 16-7 in the second quarter.
