The Giants started this season with the roster badly injured.

Whether they make the playoffs or not, they are going to finish the season that way too. They face the Jets on Saturday without linebacker Mark Herzlich, defensive end Osi Umenyiora, and tight end Jake Ballard.

Wide receiver Mario Manningham is doubtful, while running back D.J. Ware is questionable.

Ballard and Manningham’s injuries hurt quite a bit in this battle of New York. The Jets’ pass defense should be able to focus on stopping Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz. The Giants haven’t been able to run all year and rely too much on Eli Manning trying to complete low-percentage throws.

For the Jets backup running back Joe McKnight (shoulder/elbow) is officially questionable.
