The streak is dead!

Marshawn Lynch became the first player to score a rushing touchdown against the 49ers in the 2011 season when he punched the ball in from four yards out with 6:41 remaining in the fourth quarter. It was the first score on the ground against the 49ers since Steven Jackson ran one in against them in Week 16 last season. The Niners had set an NFL record by not allowing a rushing score in their first 14 games of this season and were tied with the 1985 Bears for the longest streak without a touchdown since 1970.

Lynch is also closing in on a 100-yard game, which would end a 36-game streak without one against the 49ers. He also extended his own touchdown streak to 11 games.

More important than any streaks is the fact that the score put the Seahawks up 17-16. A win for the 49ers would greatly improve their chances of winding up with the second seed in the NFC playoffs.
