LeSean McCoy’s status uncertain for this week

It sounds like LeSean McCoy’s ankle injury will be severe enough to keep him out of the team’s season finale.

At least McCoy seemed to think so after Philly’s win on Saturday. It appears McCoy won’t be able to challenge the Eagles’ franchise mark for rushing yards held by Wilbert Montgomery.

“Montgomery, he’s probably smiling right now,” McCoy said via Bob Grotz of the Delaware County Times. “I’ll get it next year – hopefully.”

McCoy’s chances for a league rushing title have also gone up in smoke. Maurice Jones-Drew leads McCoy by more than 100 yards.

Sunday’s game could be the last one for DeSean Jackson in Philadelphia. If the Eagles are going to give up big money to one of their young skill position talents, LeSean McCoy looks like the better option.

  1. what do you mean? DeSean Jackson seems like a standup teammate who always give 100% and would never complain. He also has a great sense of humor like that time against the cowboys when he jokingly flipped the ball back before crossing the goal line.

  2. Look for Jackson in a Jets uniform next year. A perfect match if I ever saw one. Make sure you pick up some new shoes DJack.

  3. The Eagles should let the younger players start this last game. The game is meaningless and would allow the younger guys to be more fully evaluated + get some playing experience. It’s not like Vick is going to get any better, ever. Let Kafka get some playing time.

I am certain of his status for next week though, he will be sitting home ! HAHAHAHAHAAHAHA !

Best RB in football. Your a moron.

He’ll be right on the couch next to the whole giants team next Monday. I cant wait to hear the va-giants crying next week. Biggest flip flopping fans in football.

  5. Mike Kafka will develop into a solid backup QB for the eagles, I just hope he learns from the mistakes Kevin Kolb and AJ Feeley made by leaving town to be a starter elsewhere.
