Suggs makes his case for defensive player of the year

On Sunday night, we named Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs the defensive player of the year. On Monday night, Suggs appeared on NBC SportsTalk with Russ Thaler, Rodney Harrison, and yours truly, and Rodney asked Suggs whether he thinks he should get the official defensive player of the year award.

Suggs shares his views in the clip pasted at the bottom of this blurb.

Though not included in the segment, Suggs also addressed whether he would like to get another shot at the Steelers in the postseason, and whether he’d like to play the Patriots and Tom Brady, whom Suggs called (in a nod to the instant-classic SNL skit) the “nephew of God.”
