Antrel Rolle promises that his Giants defense won’t give up 38 points again to the Packers.

That will be a lot easier if they are healthy in the back end, and the team got good news Wednesday with cornerback Aaron Ross’ availability at practice.

Ross passed all his post-concussion tests and has been cleared to practice, according to Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star-Ledger. Running back Danny Ware has not been cleared.

Ware, Ahmad Bradshaw, and linebacker Mark Herzlich all will miss practice Wednesday. Safety Deon Grant, who was in and out of Sunday’s win, will be available.

There are a lot of reasons to think the Giants defense will be better this week. Justin Tuck and Osi Umenyiora are healthier than they were a month ago, and probably healthier than the Packers offensive line.
