Ray Rice joined PFT Live Tuesday to talk about his future with his contract up this offseason.

Early in the interview, he said he was “almost positive” he would be back in Baltimore. By the end of the interview, Rice guaranteed he would be back with the team. (This came after a question regarding Joe Flacco.)

Rice knows he isn’t going anywhere. The Ravens will surely use the franchise tag on Rice if they can’t reach a long term deal.

“If the franchise tag happens, it happens,” Rice said. “Not the worst thing in the world. It’s definitely a lot more than I’ll ever have.”

Rice said the franchise tag essentially buys the team time to come up with a long-term deal. Rice is right that he should be back in Baltimore, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if the process takes up much of the offseason.
