Mrs. Brady rips Tom’s teammates for dropping passes

Getty Images

And here comes the drama.

After last night’s 21-17 loss in the Super Bowl, the wife of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was making her way to the team’s locker room.  Along the way, Gisele Bundchen (I continue to refuse to call her a “supermodel” until she displays at least one super power) vented regarding the inability of some of Tom’s teammates to secure balls that hit them in the hands.

“You [have] to catch the ball when you’re supposed to catch the ball,” she said in a video posted by TheInsider.com, via TBL.  “My husband cannot f–king throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.”

Though there were several drops in the second half, Brady also wasn’t the same after Giants defensive end Justin Tuck drove his left shoulder into the ground during a second-half sack.  The key gaffe — the drop by receiver Wes Welker on a drive that could have iced the game — came on a ball for which Welker had to reach up and back and lunge.  If Brady had hit Welker in stride, Welker wouldn’t have dropped it.  If he had caught it, he easily could have lost it when he struck the ground after making the effort to keep his hands on it.

Apart from the fact that Tom had a role in the delivery of some of those dropped passes, it’ll be interesting to see whether the remarks from his wife create any Yoko-style problems for Brady and his fellow players.

  1. That same malady afflicted the Packers in their playoff loss to the Jints.

    Coincidence?

    I think not!

  2. I would say its a big deal and she should shut up. But Welker said the EXACT same thing after the game. Its not like shes saying something controversial that doesnt make sense. It is 100% true.

  3. She’s right, catch the stinking ball. You have to make that play. Plus she’s hot. Skol.

  4. Well..Brady did say they came up a little short.

I think he heard her message and wanted to add a little comment on Welker.

Yep….just like Randy Brady vents on the sideline and Obrien is gone.

Now…Elite Tom throws some crappy passes, and little Wes has to take the fall.

  5. “If Brady had hit Welker in stride, Welker wouldn’t have dropped it. “

If Brady hit Welker in stride 2 things would have happened:

    1. Either Welker would have been BLOWN UP! by the safety who was right there. Probably would have resulted in the same incomplete passs

    or

    2. It would have been intercepted by the safety…who was right there.

Brady put it where he needed to. Welker needed to come up with that catch. Difficult as it was, should have been made.

  6. The last few years have really knocked the varnish off the Brady image.

Will take less money to play … NFL’s highest paid player at time of contract signing.

Cool under pressure and in the big games … two Super Bowl losses makes me wonder if the team would win more Super Bowls if it had more money for better defensive backs.

Consumate teammate … and now we learn how the Brady family really feels behind closed doors.

All this time we’ve been comparing Brady to Peyton Manning when it turns out they are a lot alike after all. It was the other Manning brother that does everything right.

  7. I like Gisele, I wish she were a Patriot.

    She isn’t like Brady.

The Jets talk too much for how little they have won. But…as Patriots we don’t do the talking, we let them do all the talking.

  8. Maybe she went to the Rex Ryan school of keeping your mouth shut! Get back on the runway where you belong and let your hubby do the quarterbacking. You don’t know what you’re talking about.

  9. Wait, she’s human? Imagine that. She’s 100% right, too. They should have caught the ball. She has every right to feel that way, especially with jerkoffs yelling at her about Eli in the same video. I am sure there were a lot of wives in the stands wishing the receivers caught the ball, they just didn’t have a camera following them around. If it’s in your hands, you should catch it. That whole last drive was a joke.

This is so stupid and such a non-story. Someone caught her on video talking to her friends. If I had a camera rolling, you could have caught me yelling at my TV the same thing.

  10. Stick to modeling Gis, and leave the football to men. It’s not like that pass to Welker was pinpoint. At least Roger Staubach was willing to take the blame when Jackie Smith dropped a sure TD pass in SB XIII, because Staubach threw it behind him.

Interesting thing about Brady: He hasn’t won a Super Bowl since dumping his pregnant girlfriend for Gisele.

Interesting thing about Belichick: He hasn’t won a Super Bowl since spygate.

  11. open mouth, insert foot(no we are not talking rex ryan’s foot fetish-ick). She needs to shut it and try to improve her acting from her movie”taxi” with jimmy fallon. ha Will she and tom take off for RIO again with more tom brady in immasculine photos? ha Will sanchez join tom in the photos? ha All i know is I would love to be able to lose the SB and go back to that mansion to sulk. ha Can save em’ all hasselhoff!(chris rock).

  12. Don’t read too much of her comment as intelligent football talk. Even though she married Tom Terrific I think we all doubt her football IQ and realize she did’nt see the inner workings like the shoulder injury and how hard a catch some of those plays really were

  13. I’m not saying she should have come out and said it, but she’s right. Ok, the ball Brady threw to Welker was high and behind him, but he still got both hands on it, should have held on. Also Hernandez dropped a sure catch on the last drive that would have been a first down.

  14. Face it – she wears the pants. I look forword to another entertaining off season of watching her make him prance around the world looking like her feminized little boy toy. Always good for a laugh.

  15. I would say its a big deal and she should shut up. But Welker said the EXACT same thing after the game
    —————————————————–
here’s my problem with this. it’s one thing to be self-critical, i understand that. it’s one thing for a teammate like Brady to say this, i could agree there a bit. it’s one thing for a coach to say that, i could again agree, but i dont see how the wife can say this.

  16. There was only 1 outright dropped pass (the Hernandez one). Branch could have stopped sooner on the one after the Welker play and that would have made it a much easier catch. I blame that to miscommunication. The Welker one should have been a better pass, the coverage nor the pass rush influenced Brady to throw it high that made it a much harder attempt for Welker. The second one to Branch (on the last drive) was completely on Brady because there was plenty of room in front of Branch for Brady to hit him in stride and allow Branch to get extra yardage. That ball was clearly behind Branch. Sure some of those passes could have been caught, but the throws could have been better too. So how people can blame one and not the other when both didn’t make the play.

  17. So did someone record her saying that or are we just supposed to believe that someone could remember that full quote of her saying that. I’m indifferent on these teams so I have no motive to defend her. I just find it funny that someone quotes her saying this while in that extremely loud area. Yeah right!

  18. who’s yoko? jk. I thought “supermodels” were goodie two shoes who never swore and never peed & pooped. ha. As far as catching the ball…lack there of…the pats learned from the packer cheeseheads! angry little vixen huh?

  19. If Brady had hit Welker in stride, the NY safety (Phillips?) would have clobbered him.

  20. Interesting thing about Brady: He hasn’t won a Super Bowl since dumping his pregnant girlfriend for Gisele.

    ———————————————

Interesting? This is interesting to you?
    Someone needs a life.

  21. I don’t get where people are defending her. She threw Tom’s teammates under the bus. The truth doesn’t matter. Loyalty matters.

Wes Welker can say that. Not some players wife.

Peyton Manning said he had protection problems and will never live it down. It was true. It was still wrong to say.

WAGs are to be seen and not heard.

  22. Now we know what Tom and Gisele talk about in bed – other players.

    I bet Brady says…
I put the ball in the perfect position and still they drop it. However, I am a Patriot, and we are a team. I don’t talk about other players.

Gisele hears that the other players suck and she just repeats it, but she is a Patriots fan and she doesn’t hear anything that is not about the team.

  23. I think spygate put the real truth to rest, Brady is in a system that makes an average QB look good remember when Matt took over he look good. Tom should wear he’s wife’s skirt and shoes he may have scrambled better and she does not talk about the interception OKAY.

  24. Too bad the video didn’t capture her when she was muttering to herself, “LOUSY 6TH ROUND PICK…”

  25. That settles it I’m hiring Gisele as my new offensive coordinator. Her knowledge of football and offensive schemes is outstanding!Receivers are supposed to catch the football?INGENIUS!!!

  26. It was the other Manning brother that does everything right.

    _______________________________
Like the time Peyton tossed his offensive line under the bus after his playoff loss.

  27. I swear, receivers need to hire a PR guy. They’re getting blamed for every “drop” while the QBs get excused for every off-target throw. In a lot of cases there is no one to blame for anything – it’s football. The QB can’t make a perfect throw on the run from a 260 lb defensive end, and the receiver can’t be sprinting west at 20mph, with the ball thrown 45mph east, back over his head with a safety closing on him and be expected to haul it in just because he got his hand on it. I’m a Ravens fan and I know about about watching “dropped” passes.

  28. I didnt hear her complaining about teammates 2 weeks ago when her huby laid an egg in the Afc chmpshp (0 tds 2 ints) and his teammates bailed him out!

  29. Forgive her. She was watching reruns of passes that Brady threw to Occochico, Lousy Stinko, Oucho Stinko or whatever name that media trolling DB is going by today.

If he would have stepped up and taken some of the pressure off Gronkowski, Hernandez and Welker the game would have ended differently.

  30. Dropped passes = THE YIPS. Those boys were shook all night. Feels great to see Hernandez look like a lost puppy after doing that obnoxious “Make it Rain” nonsense when he scores TDs.

  31. Whether she’s right is irrelevent. The wife has no business blaming her spouses teammates at the expense of others. Its not that she correctly said they needed to catch the ball, its when she added “my husband cant throw AND catch” which makes the both of them look extremely conceited.

I’m sure there’s a fair share of safeties in this league that wish Tom Brady would try to catch the ball. Wonder how many dropped passes thered be then?

  32. I miss the old days when celebrities (for the MOST part), would keep their mouths shut on matters that didn’t concern them. Hey woman! If not for a dropped pass your little tom tom wouldn’t have been there! Thanks again lee evans!

  33. Tebow says that women shouldnt be allowed to speak in public unless their husband grants permission

  34. Totally classless on her part. It was a close game and they were on the wrong end–there’s no need to hunt for goats to blame it on; the TEAM came up short.

But I wonder if the supermodel has figured out that without Tom’s intentional grounding in the end zone, they would have only needed a field goal on the final drive to tie? (Since the Giants would have kicked the PAT on their final TD.)

  35. i doubt anyone on the pats care wat she says… im sure tom and bill have already said such things they are not gonna cry cause a model told them to catch better this is such a non story……

  36. “She wanted that Corvette Eli got as MVP.”

Pretty sure she could buy four or five with her “walking around” money.

  37. Why shouldn’t she say that? She’s Brady’s wife it’s a free world, I don’t blame her. He threw some poor passes, but Wes doesn’t very often drop anything, and he drops the most important ball. If he had made that, it could well have been the game. I don’t like the Patriots but Brady has taken the team where they are today, it’s no one else. Bit like Peyton and the Colts, don’t insult him you don’t know how lucky you are to have him.

  38. Hey Gis. Tell your husband to throw the ball as PRECISELY as Eli Manning, not forcing his receivers to twist around to make the catch. Sure, Welker had his hands on the ball, but if Brady hits him in stride (like Manning to Manningham), then we’re singing a different tune.

  39. I would say that it could make for some awkward moments at the couple’s off season dinner parties, but I doubt there will be many Patriots recievers at Hollywood Tom’s parties anyway.

And to anyone saying Tom needs to tell her to shut up- you do realize that she makes MUCH more money than him, right?

Lastly, to any poster who says they wouldn’t want to be married to her, or she’s “not all that”, stop embarrassing yourselves.

  40. That play shows he problem with Welker. He’s great in the dink and dunk game, but downfield he’s too short, the window to throw is too small. A taller receiver has to make a small adjustment, Welker has to jump and do a 180.

  41. All that happened here was that a wife, in an emotional moment, stuck up for her husband when some lowlife decided to needle her (as if she has anything to do with it) over her husband’s performance.

Maybe she wouldn’t have used that choice of words had she slept on it, but ya know what, good for Giselle. People here giving her a hard time about this are either unmarried or WISH their wives would stick up for them once in a while.

The real story here should be about boorish, gloating behavior by Giants fans.

She wanted that Corvette Eli got as MVP.

she makes more than every nfl player bro. she’s not too worried about the pesos.

  43. Pats should hire Giselle as their next OC…she sure has fire in her belly…I guess the Pats WR’s won’t be getting any BBQ invitation this summer from the Brady Bunch 🙂

  44. “Don’t read too much of her comment as intelligent football talk.” – ??? Wtf does that mean?

it has nothing to do with football intelligence. It has to do with class. As usual the dumb aZZ pats fans and players (and now wives) have NONE.

  45. Wow! Tom Bundchen’s wife sounds pretty upset. Maybe she can get him a week or two at the spa to help him get over it.

  46. Not anything the coach, the qb, and any of the players involved weren’t saying in the locker-room- she’s absolutely spot on in her analysis. But saying it out loud in camera shot is classless, sore-loserish, lame, and makes her team husband look even worse, so that’s crap and she needs to be more professional there. Again, spot on X’s and O’s analysis though!

  47. The saddest part of this is that anyone cares what she says. Really? Does she add anything that matters about the game?

Now, maybe she could have spiced up the Halftime show some. It needed help and a few more babes never hurts. Outside of that, she adds nothing.

  48. Part of the Patriots success is limiting mistakes.

The Welker “drop” would have been a tough catch…when a receiver has to turn his head and body around, and then find and catch the ball…it’s hardly a gimme.

In a game surprisingly devoid of big plays, Welker could have made the biggest.

Could a better ball have been thrown by Mr. Bunchesen?

Ask Gisele….wait, maybe not as teammates will quickly tire of listening to her opinions.

  49. she needs to stay in her place…she isn’t the coach, but we know now who wears brady pants in their relationship…sooo brady gets his whining from his wife..that explains it!

  50. Regardless, she and Tom still have a new $20 million home to go back to. Should take away some of the sting.

  51. NE’s WR’s would’ve caught those passes if Tom directed them into ‘bundch’ formations.

  52. that’s what you all consider ‘ripping’ team mates….man u all have thin skin….PLEASE!!!

and this is from a Steeler Fan….much ado about nothing….SMDH!!!

and yes they should have caught the ball….nuff said!

  53. If you see the video she was saying this to the other players wives.

Nice way to stand by your team!

  54. That Bridget Moynahan must have been frigid in the bedroom because I can’t see another reason why Brady would dump that incredible hottie for that big-mouthed transvestite he married.

  55. Hey, she’s pretty much right on, can’t deny that. A lot
of analysts said the same thing. Brady played well enough to win. Who knows how the game would have turned if those dropped balls had been caught.

And by the way, how is Tom to control his wife? That’s kind of old school…….

  56. And in a related story: Gisele is now a candidate to replace Bill O’Brien as Patriots OC after demonstrating exemplary football acumen.

  57. Does anybody really care what she thinks?

ESPN should give jizz-el her own sports talk show where she can share her very insightful theories and dead on expert analyses on why everyone is to blame but her husband.

  58. I don’t get it.

Almost any receiver but Welker goes after that pass, they would drop it…If he held on to that pass (especially after hitting the ground like he did) it would have been an incredible catch.

Yet people talk about this like it was an easy catch. Peter king even called him the goat of the week…

My goat of the week would be Brady for throwing that stupid pass he threw on his first offensive possession that cost them 2 points (down 3 with 1 minute left would have felt immensely different than down 4 felt)

  59. NON STORY

Who cares, EVERY fan had at least one person to blame after that game. There was a lot of blame to go around, but it comes down to precision. If you have it, you win, if you don’t, you won’t. Some of Brady’s throws were off, some dropped balls, some missed tackles, some bad play calls.

We win as a team, we lose as a team.

  60. I never understood the infatuation with that broad, BTW. She was never that good looking, and she’s beginning to look like a Lunch Lady in the face.

I hate how the only Brasilian women who get publicity are the ones who look like her, when she and those of her ilk are the MINORITY there.

  61. Tom Brady seems to have lost his clutch gene since Spygate and since his defense started sucking. Weird.

    I think not!

    ———
Surely wasn’t. But to let the haters tell it, it’s all more “lucky Giants”.

  63. I would be very intrigued to see the love interest in bozosforall’s life. The bag of bones he calls Giselle? I love all the hate people have for Brady and the Pats. And by hate, I mean jealousy.

  64. If Brady had hit Welker in stride, Welker wouldn’t have dropped it
    ————————————-

Had he thrown the ball to hit him in stride then it’s picked off by Phillips! Damn dumny!

There needs to be some football test given to writers bc you people have no clue about the game!

  65. Giselle makes catching the football sound easy. I’d like to see her try to make those catches. Go make a baby your more suited for that.

  66. “My husband cannot f–king throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.”

While speaking after the game, apparently “Gizz” choked on how many times Tom’s balled were dropped. “He’s thrown balls straight at my face I’ve never dropped one!”

  67. Yes, she probably should not say anything, but SHE IS RIGHT! If the Patriots receivers catch just one or two more of those passes, THEY WIN THE GAME. NO DOUBT ABOUT IT! Welker even said he should have caught the ball. He had both hands around the ball. He didn’t just tip it. Other receivers had better passes that they just dropped. I am sure some of their receivers are hating their personal performances.
There are other things that cost them the game as well. One was the 12 men on the field penalty they got after they recovered a fumble inside the red zone.

  68. drops are part of the game.. overall the Pats played really well….

the real issue that this brings up is: there was one key drop: Welker…

For the last 5 years in NE (during which he had a major injury he came back strong from), Welker has put up a slate of catches that is quite possibly the most impressive 5 year streak in NFL history….

and while it’s regrettable that this one drop happened at such an inopportune moment… if anyone deserves a break for such a thing… it’s Welker…..

congrats to Wes Welker on an incredible streak….

Mrs. Brady should sit down now……

  72. ndnut,
You say: “I think we all doubt her football IQ and realize she did’nt see the inner workings like the shoulder injury and how hard a catch some of those plays really were”
    _______________

You could have a football IQ of 2 and still know that if a ball hits a receiver squarely in the hands, the receiver should CATCH THE DAMN BALL! This is the freaking Super Bowl, not some scrimmage. I could have caught some of the passes those receivers dropped. She has the right to express her opinion. Ever hear of the first amendment?
And in regards to the possible shoulder injury… It was his left shoulder, not his throwing shoulder.

  73. LOL

Man, people are beginning to take sports too damn serious, like Gladiator games during the Roman Empire. Afterwhile they are going to be calling for death, with the old “thumbs down” gesture they used to give.

But hey, on the other side of the coin, ya’ll gotta understand, these money hungry, greedy women, already had that bonus money spent on new shoes/purses/diamonds.

Like somebody said, Brady better get that woman under control!!! LOL

  74. Yes, what she said is true, but here are the facts:

The coaches can call out players for not catching the ball.
The QB can call out players for not catching the ball.
The media can call out players for not catching the ball.
Random posters on PFT can call out players for not catching the ball.
    But…
The wife of the QB CAN NOT call out players for not catching the ball.

That should be in every pre-nup for every NFL QB.

  75. Fact is Patsy fans: Jim-sele should’ve had the good sense to make her critique in the privacy of the ride home. There is no benefit to anyone but that man-face to weigh in like that in front of anyone but her ol’ man.

  76. There were a lot of drops. Some of those balls were thrown less than ideally, but some were perfect. The drops were a very noticeable difference-maker.

    ___
Keep reading, idiot Pats loser. I’m not nearly the only one who thinks that Gisele isn’t all that.

And as for “hate”, I don’t “hate” the Pats nor Brady…since I don’t know them one bit.

But I DO know many New England sports fans and I do readily admit to strongly disliking them.

As for “jealousy”, come back when you can find more than just a few New Englanders who aren’t insanely jealous of the repeated successes of New York’s baseball team. You guys have been jealous of the Yankees for darn near a century now. In fact, New England is the capital of “jealousy”. Pot calling the kettle black, dm wee.

  78. I still remember the safety and interception more then those two passes down the stretch. Welkers catch would have been sensational as the ball was behind him.

  79. I have never been a Gisele fan, personally I preferred Bridget but I digress.

However, while maybe she should’ve kept her thoughts to herself, it was nice to see a wife stand up for her husband.

As far as what and how she said it, Gisele has offended many people in the past because the filter between her brain and mouth doesn’t work that well.

That could be why Brady likes her.

  80. Gisele Bundchen, the wife of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, responded to fans who taunted her after the Super Bowl last night at Lucas Oil Stadium.

As she was making her way to an exit, someone called out “Eli owns your husband,”

  81. Yes sweetie…and Tom shouldn’t have underthrown Gronkowski due to pressure for an interception either.

To be fair to Brady, I am sure that when he heard that his “boss’ made these comments he cringed.

I thought that we were done hearing from wives when Kurt Warner retired.

  82. You know she, Brady and everyone else who are critics have their own slant and agenda. There are people in this country who have served our country who come back without limbs, with brain injuries or dead. There are those in our culture who are born with or acquire crippling deformities and disease. Get a hold of yourself Gisele. She too was born beautiful. Both of them are among the LUCKY. People would give anything to have 1/10th of the lucky they have.

Michele, I say SHUT UP and thank god or fate or whatever you believe for the good fortune fate has bestowed upon BOTH of you! By singling out players you double the hurt they already feel. STOP it, grow up and appreciate what you DO have instead of waxing critical of them. It is mean, stupid and ridiculous!

  83. She’s right about the Welker pass. Wes Welker is used to jumping up to get those due to his short stature. That’s a catch he routinely makes. I’m so glad he dropped it though!

In any case, the other throws from Brady were not as accurate. He threw behind Deion Branch a couple of times and those were almost uncatchable balls.

In any case, I present to you, Gisele Bundchen, the new head coach of the New England Patriots!

  84. It’s just payback, I’ve heard Tom rip her fellow supermodels after fashion shows, for not turning at the right spot on runway, and when their thongs aren’t properly worn etc. What comes around goes around. You wouldn’t see Mrs Roethlisberger talking Smack after a game, he’s got her trained, he can do whatever and whomever he wants. That’s what you get for marrying a high maintenece chic Tommy.

  85. She said nothing wrong! Millions of people saying what she said privately in their homes. I’m not one of them good job G-Men!

  86. If Tom doesn’t throw the ball away on his first pass of the game, the score would have been 17-19 and the Pats could have worked the sideline into field goal range and won the game.

But he didn’t. Ifs and Buts. Drops are part of the game.

  87. Sure, she has a right to her opinion, but doesn’t that also come with the responsibility of knowing how voicing a negative opinion in that manner can have an impact on her husband? With both his teammates as well as the fan base.

I am definitely not a Pats fan and I am truly happy with the outcome of the game, but I’d take Wes Welker on my team (Steelers) any day of the week. That guy is a great athelete, a helluva a receiver, extremely football savvy, and he has saved Brady’s bacon on a number of occasions. Maybe those occasions are what Brady’s wife should be acknowledging, not one dropped pass.

Again, not a Pats fan, but I don’t think they need to be hanging their heads at all for the way they played. Sure there were some mistakes, but there are mistakes by both teams and in every game.

  88. It’s clear from the replay that Tom’s foot slipped just a little bit on the throw, causing the ball to be just a little wide for Welker.

He should’ve known better than to wear those Uggs she gave him on the artificial turf. Stick to cleats, Tom.

  90. I remember a pretty great quarterback for the Rams who had a wife with a big mouth and it cost him his job; and almost his career. Maybe she should think about that big paycheck!

There were plenty of opportunities to win that game disregarding the drops. After all, who was it that gave the Giants 2 points on the first possession?

  91. She’s correct and has every right to say what she did…maybe not the smartest thing to do, but too bad. Call ’em like you see ’em…

  92. While it was not the best thing to say, why not cut her some slack? I trust all the mature voices trashing her on this thread would handle the situation perfectly given the circumstances. Feel better vilifying her?

  93. I posted last night that he can only throw them, he can’t catch them, too. But I’m not the QB’s wife blathering into a mic. Better for the player if wives, GFs, moms, and dads (Archie?) keep criticism of their guy’s team to themselves. Mrs. Brady’s role is to offer aid and comfort in the privacy of their home, not in front of a TV camera.

  94. Dunno why the hell this woman thinks her ‘analysis’ matters. Why she so angry?? Lol. She was probably banking on Tom’s SuperBowl Victory bonus to keep him out of her purse for a few months.

  95. So much for tough guy Tommy’s street cred.

Guess we all can see who wears the pants in that household…

  96. Well, you can say goodbye to whatever respect Tom’s teammates had for him. I don’t get these spouses mouthing off. Stay out of your husband’s business lady. The Yoko syndrome does not help your spouse in his career. Geez Louise, when will they ever learn!!

  97. Who really cares. She’s right in a way. The receivers weren’t making catches in the clutch. She said this 5 minutes after the game ended to her friends after some jackass Giants fan taunts her. There just happen to be cameras there.

  98. AND let’s not forget Mrs. Brady, who gave the Giants the 2 points they got without any effort right off the top?. NONE other than YOUR hubby!!

  99. The irony is that the whole reason that the Patriots made it to the Superbowl in the first place was because a receiver – from Baltimore – dropped a pass that he absolutely should have caught (and which should have been reviewed).

I wonder what she would have said had the Pats lost that game instead of this one.

  100. @shockblast media is 100% right. That last drive was horrible, beyond belief. You lost, boys, now go home and shake it off.

  101. I don’t know what you were watching, but that pass was not that badly thrown. Welker had nobody in his face and the ball hit him in the hands…not just outstretched finger tips or any of that. Even collinsworth said that is a catch he makes 100 out of 100 times. You have to catch the ball, end of story.

And how do you know that if brady hit him in stride he would’ve caught it? By that logic you don’t even need to play the game…let’s just assume wr’s will catch good passes and drop others. Then pick the winner.

You can rip on Brady for some bad plays during the game, but that wasn’t one of them…

  102. She’s entitled to her opinion, which many share. The Pats receivers dropped a few, the Giants didn’t. Welker conceded he should have had it. No excuse for the safety, which was on Tom. He would have just needed a FG instead of TD had he not given the Giants that 2 points.

  103. hey guys
give the “Gis” a break, its not she ever let her team down in the big game…maybe if terrific tom doesnt throw that pass away on the goal line in a show of arrogance (im sure he figured no way would he get called) this game has a different look.

so how long til “Gis” leaves TT for that handsome devil Seal?

oh and btw, 0 championships since spygate (coincidence), and at the point Eli >>>>>> Tom

  104. Mario Manningham screwed up his route and cost the Giants a big gain, and a first down, prior to the winning drive. Then Manningham makes a great catch on the final drive of the game. Receivers screw up, and receivers make big plays. That’s why they call it a team game. Giselle should stick to her individual “sport” of walking down a runway. Throwing people under the bus isn’t the way a team sport is supposed to work. Whether Welker “should” have made the catch, or not, is irrelevant.

  105. She “married down”? I hate the Patriots, and even I know he married down. She should quietly back her man unless she wants him blasting designers about the stuff she wears on the run way. She’s just another no-nothing Monday morning whiner. He should drop her like a sack of garbage.

  106. Could it be in her own way of just sticking up for her man. What do you expect her to say, it was Tommy’s fault.

I kinda like the fact she backs her guy.

Probably should have just kept her mouth shut but at least she had Tommy’s back, which I’m sure he liked,,,,,,

  107. She is paid millions to WALK not to TALK. That’s why everyone hates her, she has vomit of the mouth.

Its not like Tom comes to her job and says (insert designer name)…”I am so f;ing pissed that you put her in 4 inch heels when her horse face is more accentuated in 5 inch heels!!”

  108. Giselle

Belichick was wrong to leave out Falk. Falk has been the most dependable Patriot over the years and would have caught the balls thrown his way in the fourth quarter.

  109. And if every play went perfectly, every team would have a perfect record.

Seriously, everyone on a team makes mistakes–missed tackles, bad passes, misted catches, dropped balls–it’s never on just one guy to win, or lose a game. To say nothing of having to fend off the guys on the other team.

Yeah, the receivers could have caught more passes. And the defense could have picked off a few of Manning’s passes. And maybe the running game could have picked up more yardage with each play. And, and, and.

Get over it, it’s a game. And sometimes games come down to one or two key plays. And sometimes even the quarterback makes mistakes.

  110. And, for the people who are saying she has a right to express her opinion, and its the same thing that millions of fans said at home, that’s also irrelevant. I am allowed to think that my co-workers srewed up, or are incompetent and untrustworthy, but I’m not going to stand in front of a camera and say it. Even worse, I don’t want my wife standing in front of a camera saying it. My issues with my co-workers ought to be taken care of individually, not by my wife calling them out publically.

  111. REMEMBER, Great Sex is way better than anything football has to offer, keep your priorities straight Mr. Brady.

The Giants also have a better, more clutch QB.

He throws TDs for Super Bowl win…not FGs.

  114. I read all this stuff and I keep remembering what they now call, “The Greatest Game Ever Played.” Baltimore and the NY Giants. What most people choose to remember about that game is the Kyle Rote fumbled the ball. What they fail to mention is that Webster recovered the ball. Kyle Rote told me, many years back, ” I called that play, I just didn’t call the fumble.” He was a very humble man with a great wit. I think it has been reported or I was told, that Rote said he would have shined Alex Webster’s shoes right there and then on the field with the grease from his nose. “The Good Old Days?” Maybe or maybe not. They played with both less padding and a lot less hatred towards the opposing team. We use to call the players, “Good Sports.”

  115. What are all of you talking about? she doesn’t know anything about the game. She is just blowing off steam because they lost. Just a couple of things to consider. These are the most important questions to ask, and should answer all of her questions.

1: How many winning teams did the Pat beat this season? One, and only by default, did they beat Baltimore.
2: How many super Bowls did the Pats win when they were not cheating? None.

  116. It was DOOMSDAY for the Patriots right at the beginning of the game when Brady had that Intentional Grounding call against him and he is suppose to be an intelligent quarterback? You can’t blame the receivers only when the quarterback was off on his game as well. The Giants played a good game. I am not a fan of either team, I don’t like Brady and I don’t like Eli. But I am happy with the outcome of the game.

  117. Where is my other post? I suggested that, if you missed it, you may be interested in what the Raven’s Ray Lewis said after their defeat with New England. Profound and deeply spiritual remarks on the “irony of sports,” and sports and life and The Lord.
Following Lewis on the podium was Billy Condiff. To get up there and speak at all says a lot about the man that he is. What he said, speaking as a player, a team player, and most importantly a dad of two children is, I feel, very valuable. I feel that all sports fans and all children should view it, ( no doubt it is on YouTube). There is a serious message there that children need to hear and understand. It would serve our public schools well to run it for all to see and to discuss it. There was a time in our great history when an effort was made to direct children in positive character development.

    ——————————

Check your facts, she’s worth about 5 times what “Tommy Boy” is worth and she’s known worldwide.

  119. She had a point…they were catchable balls…any other time during the season..Welker would have caught those…even the NBC commentators were laughing under their breath…

In a game like that, you have to catch balls…and not drop them….period.

Those 2 drops in the 4th quarter…cost NE the game.

  120. Anyone else notice that ever since Spy Gate, the Pats haven’t been able to win the Super Bowl? Coincidence? I think NOT!

  121. It was a great game and great helftime show. We can say all day woulda coulda shoulda, but at the end of the day, the Patriots didn’t make the plays when it counted the most. I’m not a fan of either team, but the G-men made the plays, and also the ball bounced their way. Thats just the way it goes sometimes.

  122. Lest I forget…Belichick has been venting that “a 9-and-7 team does not belong in the Superbowl”. Let’s consider the fact that, for one thing, if New England had been able to beat the Giants during the ‘regular season’, the G-men would have been 8-and-8. Secondly, “great teams make great plays”…the Giants made the series of plays that won the game WITHOUT 3 of their starters who had been injured earlier in the game. Are you telling me that the Pat’s “elite” couldn’t even handle the second- and third-string guys who stepped into the cleats of those hurt players?

  123. Why is this even news? She made those comments to her friends. It’s the day after the Super Bowl, surely there are other things to be discussing.

  124. I’ll bet she wasn’t complaining when Lee Evans dropped the ball two weeks ago. News flash, honey – sometimes things don’t work out for you. Not that you would know.

  125. She fails to mention who got the team a safety on a boneheaded intentional grounding on their first offensive play. She also fails to mention that he threw a boneheaded INT on a 1st and 10, while the Pats were breaking the Giants back, rolling down the field, up 1 score. Yep…..All the WR’s fault. It’s not those two mentioned and Justin Tuck laying you on your back, twice!

  126. And you wouldn’t call her a “super” model??? She is worth almost 1 Billion dollars and an extraordinary humanitarian. She does more work for struggling people in one hour than you could even dream of in your lifetime. Get out of the writing business so we aren’t subject to your constant dribble.

  127. Flut needs to shut her pitch mouth. Her analysis are about worthless as Danica Patrick in NASCAR.

  128. She said what any wife would have said in the situation. Good for her sticking up for her husband.
I am not a Pats fan, but I agree with chains33.
All the rubbish on here is from fans of other teams, who don’t like the Patriots anyway. The Super Bowl is over so hopefully we don’t have to listen to any of this garbage anymore. Just let the Payton nonsense
    “take over” now.

  129. Gisele Bundchen had every right to defend her husband and not take a bunch of “smack” talk from someone who came to HER! She did not just step in a the guy’s face and start making negative statements about his team. HE APPROACHED HER! He should be the one reprimanded!!!

I am happy to see there are still REAL women in this world who will not let another say what they will and think they are going to get away with it; celebrity or not! She owes No One an apology. It is good old football! If she were a man, I seriously doubt if the media would still be having a field day with this! GROW UP and WAKE UP AMERICA!!! If you can’t take the heat, then shut the hell up!

    Brady’s balls just disappeared.

    ___
I doubt that he ever had any.
    ==========
I doubt YOU have any, coward. What baseball team did you abandon to slurp on the Yankees, and what basketball team did you abandon to slurp on the Lakers, troll?

Bozosforall, the biggest front-running, whining “fan” of them all, with a big, crying mouth to type all over these boards anonymously…. almost big enough to fit my grapefruit kiwis into for a good Jeter-style ball wash, but not quite… not quite.

  132. Boston&Suburbs&fans everywhere provide Brady the opprotunity to play NFL. No Franchise exists without fans and the local fans are paramount. Mrs. Brady lacks proper manners in public.
I for one will abide no trash talk from the Brady’s et al about GRONKOWSKI he is my Sorority’s PIN UP. Gronk is best and that’s all.

  133. why does anybody really care what a models says anyway…?! there are a thousand anorexic 16 year old replacements waiting in the wings.

outside of, ‘GEE, i think ill wear the lime green thong on my next Bali shoot!’…thats really all i wanna hear…
