The Charlotte Observer reports that the Panthers will host free agent offensive lineman Jason Brown at their club headquarters on Wednesday.
Brown was released by the Rams on Monday, but was once considered one of the top young interior offensive linemen in football. Still only 28, a change of scenery might rejuvenate Brown after relentless losing in St. Louis.
We ranked Brown as the No. 83 overall player available in free agency, based on talent and versatility. He would likely compete for the starting left guard job vacated Tuesday by Travelle Wharton’s release.
