Free agent running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis has scheduled a visit with the Bengals, as mentioned previously, but he’s not the only back drawing interest from the team.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that free agent Michael Bush is also slated to meet with Cincinnati.

Specifically, Bush is visiting the Bears on Wednesday and the Bengals on Monday.

Bush would probably be a preferred option over Green-Ellis because of his superior passing-game skills. Bush is a bone-crushing pass blocker and a deceptively smooth receiver for his size.

Bryan Broaddus of ESPN Dallas reported earlier in the day that he’s “hearing” free agent cornerback Terence Newman will visit Cincinnati, as well. Newman is over the hill, but has ties to Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer and could be a quality signing for depth.

The Bengals laid low on the first night of free agency, but they’re active today.
