NFL Network’s Steve Wyche reports that the Seahawks will host tight end Visanthe Shiancoe for a free agent visit “within the next few days.”

Shiancoe knows Seattle offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell well from their time together in Minnesota.

The Vikings signed John Carlson to a five-year deal worth $25 million earlier Wednesday, so Shiancoe won’t be returning.

So it looks like he may take his “talents” to Seattle, where Shiancoe would likely back up Zach Miller.
