The news that Jeremy Shockey wants back on the Giants doesn’t sit well with one of Shockey’s former teammates.

Amani Toomer, who was a Giants receiver for Shockey’s entire six-season run as a Giants tight end and is now a contributor to NBC Sports Talk, wrote on Twitter Thursday morning that Shockey, who got the Giants to trade him to the Saints in 2008 by insisting that he wouldn’t play for them ever again, should now be held to that promise.

“No!! Shockey ‘I will never play4 you again!’ he yelled at jerry Reese in 08. Let him keep his word. Bad teammate, worse person,” Toomer wrote.

When it was suggested to Toomer that maybe he’d regret saying that, Toomer insisted that he meant what he said.

“Don’t worry about it. My tweet is not going anywhere. I stand by what I say,” Toomer wrote.

So far Shockey hasn’t responded with any tweets of his own. Toomer will have more to say as a guest today on PFT Live.
