Tim Twentyman of DetroitLions.com reports that the club has scheduled visits with free agent safety O.J. Atogwe and free agent linebacker Tim Shaw for next week.

Atogwe was released in a cap-savings move earlier this week after a disappointing season with the Redskins. He has some coaching staff ties to the Lions, and could push Amari Spievey for the team’s starting strong safety job.

Shaw is a productive special teamer.

Perhaps more notably, Twentyman reports that the Lions are in talks with free agent linebacker Stephen Tulloch. The seriousness of those exchanges is unknown.
