Free agent wide receiver Mario Manningham arrived at Rams Park on Saturday afternoon. The team is trying to keep him there.

According to both Paul Schwartz of the New York Post and Jason La Canfora of NFL Network, Manningham and the Rams are currently in contract negotiations. La Canfora reports that St. Louis is “pushing” to sign Manningham. Per Schwartz, the sides are trying to “hammer out terms” of a deal.

Particularly after Saturday night’s Brandon Lloyd agreement in New England, Manningham is the top free agent wide receiver left on the market.

So in that regard, Manningham has the receiver-needy Rams right where he wants them. Perhaps he’ll get the “No. 1 receiver money” he’s made it no secret he’s seeking.
