Samson Satele arrested in Hawaii

Five days into free agency, guys who remain on the market would be wise to find a way to get themselves noticed.

Without getting arrested.

Samson Satele, a free agent who spent 2011 with the Raiders, was arrested in Hawaii early Saturday on disorderly conduct charges, according to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.

Drafted by the Dolphins in 2007 and traded to the Raiders in 2009, he has appeared in 78 of 80 career games, with 74 starts.

Last season, Satele had 15 starts for the Raiders.

And so the “days without an arrest” meter re-sets.  Coincidentally, I noticed on Saturday that the number had climbed to 21, and I wondered for a moment whether it had a chance to get to 100 — the point at which we’ll forever dismantle it.

Only 99 days to go.

  1. It is really sad
I remember when players had respect to not only their teammates but to everyone else. Today’s players feel entitled and they can do whatever they want.

If you get arrested then you should be thrown out of this league

This generation that is playing is a fine example of that

  2. Samson is one of the most respectable persons ive ever met, to have something like this happen, i would need all the facts to even say anything about it

You would think that punching a woman in a nightclub would reset the meter…

It says “ARREST METER”, not “accusation meter”

  4. He probably got in a fight because people were making fun of Colt Brennan crying and quitting in the Sugar Bowl versus GA. They then made a crack about Colt’s NFL failure and quipped a joke about him being a backup in something called the CFL…..he’ probably embarrassed by all of those UH idiots who said he’d be hoisting a Superbowl Trophy because he has the “it” factor…..for getting the “sh” in front of it.

I don’t blame Satele defending his boyfriends honor.

  5. Ok lets take a close look at this! none of us were there for one. And we all know how things can get blown out of proportion. He also knows this could absolutely ruin his NFL career! Since when have the Raiders turned there back on anyone who needed a second chance… ?…Stupid? Yeah sure….but now we can get him back with a small price tag and he knows its could be his last chance ever in the NFL. So what kind of fight can we expect from him now if the Raiders give him his second chance to prove himself. He gave us some of his good stuff but now with a new chance at his career….we may very well get all his best stuff!! I say bring him back and line him up!!!!

  6. Can’t we set the goal at a more realistic level? I vote for 50 days without an arrest…..!
