Bruce Irvin arrested for destruction of property

Last month, former West Virginia defensive end Bruce Irvin ran very fast at the Scouting Combine, with a 4.5 in the 40-yard dash.  Over the weekend, he apparently didn’t run fast enough.

Irvin was arrested late Saturday night in Morgantown for destruction of property, according to WVMetroNews.com.  He allegedly broke a sign at a sandwich shop.

A pass-rush specialist whose final season fell short of expectations with only 8.5 sacks, Irvin’s performance in Indianapolis resulted in a surge in phone calls expressing interest in him.

More phone calls than, say, the two he was allowed to make late Saturday night.

  20. He broke a sandwich shop sign? I wonder if alcohol was involved?

    I think I will wait for his side of the story before passing judgement. Maybe it was one of those hanging signs and he just jumped up and hit it and it broke unexpectedly. He is responsible for the damage, but no criminal intent occurred.

  22. First of all, I can tell some of you do not read before you pass judgement. He hit the sign it did not break it just spun around. so therefore no crime committed. and from what is being said he was not the only one who hit the sign but the only one arrested. do not pass judgement if you cant read and think logical….
