Free agent defensive lineman Luis Castillo paid a visit to New England, but he left town without signing.
Ian R. Rapoport of the Boston Herald reports that Castillo visited on Saturday.
Although Castillo played in only one game in 2011 because of a broken leg, he could make a lot of sense for the Patriots, who like versatile defensive linemen. When healthy, Castillo has been a starter for the Chargers for his entire seven-year career.
Castillo has already visited the Chiefs and is reportedly drawing interest from other teams as well.
