Peyton Manning looking forward to winning a Super Bowl in Denver

At Peyton Manning’s introductory press conference as the new starting quarterback for the Denver Broncos, one clear message was repeated several times: The Broncos are in this to win the Super Bowl, and will settle for nothing less.

“I’m looking forward to meeting my new teammates and doing everything I can to help this franchise win another Super Bowl,” Manning said. “I could tell that Denver is committed to winning and I’m glad they wanted me to be a part of it.”

Broncos owner Pat Bowlen offered similar sentiments in speaking before Manning.

“Our goal has always been to win Super Bowls, and Peyton gives us a chance to win another world championship,” Bowlen said. “I’m thrilled that he has decided to become a Denver Bronco.”

John Elway, who runs the Broncos’ front office, said he hopes to help Manning get even better than he was with the Colts.

“I believe that he’s got a lot of great football left in him,” Elway said. “My goal is to make Peyton Manning the best quarterback ever to play the game, and he’s got the ability.”

Manning said he was excited to see how committed Bowlen and Elway are to winning the Super Bowl.

“I’m very excited to begin the next chapter of my playing career with the Denver Broncos,” Manning said. “This organization is committed to winning.”
