Free agent defensive lineman Anthony Hargrove visited the Packers on Friday.

On Sunday, Hargrove provided strong hints on Twitter that he’ll be playing ball in Green Bay next season.

“Loving the Packer nation for all the love already,” wrote Hargrove. “Go Packers go. Goodnight.”

Hargrove had indicated earlier in the day that he was close to a deal with Green Bay. “Not official, but like I said Green and Yellow, Green and Yellow,” he wrote.

Hargrove, 28, is listed at 6-foot-3, 272. While he probably wouldn’t be an every-down player in Green Bay’s 3-4 scheme at that weight, Hargrove could vie for a significant role in the Packers’ pass-rushing nickel package.

The Packers are bracing for the loss of defensive end Mike Neal, who was suspended four games on March 13 for violating the NFL’s policy against performance enhancers.
