Lance Briggs has spent his entire NFL career with the Bears and has been unhappy with his contract for much of that time. But after signing a new contract extension, there’s a good chance that Briggs will remain under contract to the Bears for the remainder of his career.
The Bears announced today that Briggs has signed a one-year contract extension, which locks him up through the 2014 season, when he’ll turn 34.
No financial terms were disclosed, but presumably Briggs signed because he’s happy with what the Bears were offering. At least for now.
Briggs started all 16 games for the Bears last season and made his seventh consecutive Pro Bowl.
